I have 2 businesses. This is the speech coaching biz. I’m new but really want honest constructive feedback. Let her rip! Thank you!
Yikes, you just got asked to give a 10 min. talk and you’ve got 60+ minutes of material. How do you decide what to cut?
This is one of the most common challenges industry experts and results leaders struggle with. Regardless of the amount of time you’re granted, you’re always going to have to figure out what to cut. Most likely, you could speak for days if not weeks about your topic because you’re the expert and you know so much about your subject.
Yet, after almost 5 decades of speaking experience, I can promise you there’s 6 words you’ll never hear someone say…”Talk as long as you want!”
So, what’s the stress-free solution to this challenge? It’s using the “NFV Formula” and the power of “The Golden Thread” method. These two strategies will allow you to keep your content so focused and relevant and prevents you from getting off topic and going over your ten minute time limit.
In fact, you can use these two strategies for any amount of presentation time you’re given. Even a 60 second talk!
You’ll feel so confident condensing your 60 minutes into 10 minutes and organizing what should be included will be crystal clear to you. You will feel so calm and relaxed knowing your material will fit into the allotted amount of time and your ending will have so much impact and you’ll never have a rushed abrupt ending or worse…a speech that goes overtime!

I think it’s a great topic! Can you maybe shorten your hook to something like “How do you shorten 60 minutes of great ideas into a 10 minute talk?” Can you give 3 tips from your methods to get people interested, or so they can try them out and then reach out to you for more help?
