PSA 3 – I re-recorded this because I realized that I default to a tendency to educate/explain vs. activate/attract and engage. It is an important lesson for me to remember. Also ruminating on your feedback to turn the heat up; e.g., is there a more ‘appropriate’ way to do this on Linkedin vs. FB? (Never got a Twitter account — sounds to me like a 3-ring circus, even pre-Elon). MAY is Asian Heritage Month and I’d love to create some fun/great content ideas (in addition to “POWERFUL ASIAN NINJA QUEENS UNITE!” haha; open to suggestion….Surprised and grateful, having FUN here, finding my voice.

Good job on lessening the educate/explain and pivoting more toward activate/attract/engage. You are great on video. I looked at the whole post on LI – there are so many calls to action in the text I actually didnt’ know what to do. When you look back at that post, can you see it now that I have mentioned it? If you were to post this video again – what is the ONE action you want people to take, from the text (in case they don’t watch the video)? Your video has ONE clear CTA – good job with that!

Hi Nancy! Sorry for my late reply here. I watched both the takes, the one on YouTube and Linked In. Great job!! The copy is nice and tight, and I feel like it will resonate with your target audience. When I watched the youtube video, I sped it up to 1.25, and felt like that helped the flow and increased the “pep”, but of course the pauses don’t sound right at 1.25. My recommendation would be to re-record it faster (I hope that doesn’t crush your soul…endless video takes are so discouraging). The LinkedIn video is a bit faster, but I think it could still use a bit more. You’re very personable and professional in the video and it is a great credibility boost to have that personal connection. Well done!

Hi Nancy, Sorry for my late reply as well. You are getting better, and I’m going to echo Jessica’s thoughts on some of the pacing. And there are really brilliant places in this video like “the Kick-Ass Lotus Blossom Club” and when you talk about your client & your father hanging up the phone These are wonderful examples of where your tonality & emotion are the richest, the pace helps the impact, and I can really feel connected to you, the emotions and the idea you are conveying. You are getting better and better at this.
