Do you want to become an engaged participant in German conversations? 

I know how intimidating it is to learn and speak a new language from my own experiences. I did not dare to talk to people when I immigrated to Canada. I was so afraid everyone would think I was stupid because I could not express myself to others with the subtleties of my mother tongue. In the end, I started practicing with our puppy, who was non-judgmental and willing to listen. 

Join me for bi-weekly conversation classes during the summer. We will practice conversations in a supportive environment to get you confident in everyday small talk.

Here is what you can expect:

• dialogue-based workshops to encourage everyday conversations (workbook included)
• interactive learning through role play in breakout rooms
• short art projects related to the topic for visualization and memorization (You don’t need to be an artist to enjoy this activity.)

These sessions are for you if:

• you have basic German skills: 
You can at least 
– ask someone for their name, place of residence and origin (and answer the question)
– ask and answer questions related to work, nationalities and families
– know the conjugation of regular verbs
– create simple sentences

• you want to participate actively in the workshop conversations

During each class, you will:

• get more comfortable and confident speaking German,
• increase your vocabulary to engage in German Small Talk to feel part of conversations,
• experience how simple sketches can help you visualize new vocabulary,
• connect with other German language learners of a similar skill level.
