A client story post – where the client is me! A post for Linked In and Facebook.
The photographer steps in front of the camera
I don’t know about you, but I’m constantly evolving – usually on several fronts at once! So I work to update my brand images once a year to keep up with the most current me. Matt, a recent client who’s a talented amateur photographer himself, offered to photograph me recently. So I went for it!My Brand Essence
Illumination | Vision | HeartLocation
A local Italianate church. I love all things Italian.A neutral but rich sandstone facade works wonderfully with skin tones.
A row of columns adds a sense of depth to the image, an element of my signature style.
Wardrobe and styling
Gray herringbone jacket from Brooks Brothers that’s buttery soft and tailored to fit me perfectly. Sleeves rolled up. Gray provides a neutral canvas to set off more vivid colors. And the herringbone provides a subliminal energy. Understated intensity. That’s my vibe.Dark blue t-shirt to dress it down a skosh and help set off my baby blues.
Copper and orange Joan Miro pocket square. I love Miro! And the two triangles almost look like flames in my pocket!
New, bolder hair style to make a statement.
The Shoot
I knew I’d be tempted to step into director and critic mode during the shoot and spoil my spontaneity. So I gave Matt the reins and focused on being fully in the moment and responsive to him. And to have fun! Goofiness is sometimes the gateway to presence!90% of Everything is Crap
Yes, 90% of what we did didn’t work. That’s just the process. And we came up with this winner. Unanticipated discovery: The combination of a high camera angle and my focused look and head tilt communicates a scrappiness and a fierceness of purpose. I love it.Are you a coach, consultant or transformational leader committed to being boldly visible in service of sharing your gifts with your right-fit clients?
